de.NBI – The German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure
Omics driven approaches to complex biological questions are key factors of life science research. Data management is essential to cope with the high amount of complexity generated by experimentally gained Omics data. Thus, tools to store, process, analyze and visualize these data sets are required. Albeit, fulfilling this need is a challenging task. The non-profit German Network for Bioinformatics Infrastructure (de.NBI) supports researchers tackling these challenges by providing freely available Services, Training and Compute Resources:
Services and Tools
de.NBI’s infrastructure comprises around 130 service and tools. The services are ranging from databases, over standalone tools to complete workflows for the processing and analysis of omics data.
de.NBI offers tailor-made training courses, webinars and online trainings for omics tools and workflows which empower researchers to transform their raw data into actual results.
The de.NBI cloud environment enables researches the processing and analyzing of their own data by offering large amounts of computing power and storage capacity.
de.NBI is a distributed bioinformatics infrastructure funded by the German Ministry of Research and Education (BMBF). The network consists of eight service centers covering over 40 project partners throughout Germany. Each service center is specialized on different omics fields assuring state-of-the-art knowledge in their respective field.
